I have been sort of offline of late, working through issues with the formatting of the recent book, "Gallery of Hope". First time in fifteen years of publishing as an independent author using the amazon platform. What I have learned in those fifteen years is the the control, and remuneration for one's work has continued to dwindle, with no real control over a published book other than being listed, and hopefully printed. What has become unnecessary is losing 55% of your royalties when doing all the work.

After enumerable uploads adjusting and fudging the cover design and the interior margins to best fit the book format, it is now in its final form, and equal to any commercial publication. I would also offer up the thought that the story is a good one, assuming the reader finds satire fictional accounts of real things lights them up. Just a little.

Much thought has gone into a direction to future books I have in the queue, much of that realizing time is accomplished during ceiling watch at night. So few interruptions in the middle of the night, although more than one egg sandwich, with cheese, have been consumed to remain alert during ceiling watch hours. Slightly similar to "Mid-watch" in the Marine Corps, from midnight to 8am, when a 32 cup heated coffee carafe would be ceremoniously empties during that time, and if you had a house mouse you could also get a bacon & egg sandwich brought to you from the mess hall. Now, alas, I must come up with said egg sandwich on my own wiles. Wiles are extremely rare in the early morning hours.

The idea for future book thing is the high point, with "Being Tonto" coming out the strongest candidate, unfolding on a reservation near Yachets, Oregun. Which of course will have intersections crossing Ewebark, or even Portlanding. Stay tuned.
